  1. What do you study?
    I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering at Santo Tomás University. This program focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing technological solutions to address complex challenges.
  2. Why did you choose your career?
    I chose Systems Engineering because of my passion for technology and innovation. I have always been fascinated by problem-solving, software development, and the potential of technology to transform industries. Additionally, the versatility of this career allows me to explore diverse fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data science.
  3. What would you like to do after your graduation?
    After graduating, I would like to work in a technology-driven company where I can apply my technical skills to develop innovative software solutions. I also plan to pursue certifications in cybersecurity or cloud computing to enhance my expertise. In the long term, I might consider starting my own tech venture.
  4. What job would you like to have after your graduation? Why?
    I would like to work as a software developer or systems analyst. These roles align with my interest in coding, system design, and optimizing workflows. I enjoy transforming ideas into functional applications and believe these positions will allow me to contribute meaningfully to technological advancements.
  5. What would be your ideal job?
    My ideal job would be as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in a leading tech company. This role combines leadership, innovation, and strategic planning, enabling me to guide impactful projects while staying at the forefront of emerging technologies like AI and blockchain.
  6. What would be your salary expectation?
    As an entry-level systems engineer in Colombia, I would expect a salary ranging from 25 to 35 million COP annually (approximately 6,000 to 8,500 USD). With experience, I aim to earn competitive international rates, reflecting my skills and contributions.
  7. What are your strengths and weaknesses as an employee?
    My strengths include strong analytical thinking, proficiency in programming languages like Python and Java, and adaptability to new technologies. I also collaborate well in teams. A weakness is my tendency to overfocus on perfection, which can slow down task completion. However, I am learning to balance quality with efficiency through time management techniques.
  8. What are the positive and negative aspects of your career?
    Positive aspects: High demand for systems engineers globally, opportunities to work in diverse industries, and competitive salaries. The field also encourages lifelong learning and creativity.
    Negative aspects: Rapid technological changes require constant upskilling, which can be overwhelming. Projects may involve tight deadlines or high-pressure environments, demanding strong stress management skills.
